Awards Ceremony - the evening of 17 April 2011
Buy tickets to be at the most important night in design calendar, which mixes the stars of automotive design with the students who are the future stars.
The evening includes:
- drinks reception and viewing of the work of all the finalists in a special display gallery
- free bar and buffet dinner
- the Awards ceremony at which the finalists' work is shown on the big screens and comments from the judges are passed on, before announcement of the winner of each category
- the winner of the People's Vote category is decided LIVE by all attendees
- the finale announcement of the overall Student Designer of the Year
- afterwards, celebration into the small hours with a disco and cash bar
Schedule:
- 18:30 – 20:00: Exhibition of Finalists’ Designs
Doors open to the industry. Attendees have the opportunity to view the finalists’ designs and network. A light buffet and drinks will be served.
- 20:00 – 22:15: Awards Ceremony
The winners are announced and our sponsors present them with their awards.
- 22:15 – 23:00: Celebrating the Design Evolution

| 2011's Awards ceremony will take place in the Auto Museum at Anting, in the Jiading District of Shanghai, which is within easy reach of the Auto Show. The region is home to China's first automotive joint venture, Shanghai Volkswagen, and the stylish Auto Museum introduces the century-long history of the motor car with a display of over 70 historic models. At a drinks and buffet reception, the cream of China's design community will mingle with nervous students as they review the work of the finalists on display. The evening will conclude with the Awards ceremony, at which English language and Chinese co-hosts will announce the results in a dual-language ceremony. The Shanghai Auto Museum is the first museum in China to be dedicated purely to the automotive sector. It exhibits around 70 renowned and celebrated vehicles from 22 different brands, and demonstrates the significant phases of automotive history.
