Students present their talents to an audience of design professionals from international and Chinese OEMs by entering the Car Design Awards China competition.
They work to briefs set by the car companies, and the best of the designs are put on show at the glamorous Awards ceremony. There students mingle with famous design directors and are publicised to the world's design community on Car Design News. Successful students win a fully-funded placement at Western design school.
2012 is the third year of this annual competition, which is open to students of any design discipline studying in China. It has quickly established itself as the premier forum for car design students to announce their arrival on the domestic and world stage.

About the competition
Students were again challenged to design cars for tomorrow’s China. Using briefs set by carmakers – both foreign and Chinese – they were invited to be creative and innovative in proposing concepts for tomorrow’s car-buyers in the world’s biggest auto market.
